I chose to compare the photo by Thomas J Abercrombie to a simple poem by Gwendolyn Brooks. Both the poem and the photograph, in my opinion, describe a character that is rebelling by going out in the world and doing what they desire. I feel that in both pieces the character is leaving and rebelling against the norm.
